Fraud & ID Protection

We are committed to your protection

At University Credit Union, we take identity theft seriously and understand the importance of keeping our members safe. Personal information such as your name, driver’s license number, Social Security number, account information, or your date of birth must be protected.

Identity Theft

Here are a few tips to help you keep your personal and card information safe:

  • Never give out your PIN (Personal Identification Number)
  • Be suspicious of any email with an urgent request for personal information
  • DO NOT use the links in an email from an unverified source to get to a web page
  • Ensure you are using a secure website when submitting credit card information – the web address should begin with https:// rather than http://
  • Be suspicious if an email or phone call doesn’t use your full name
  • Be skeptical of unsolicited calls and emails
  • Always use the phone number on your UFCU account statement or credit card
  • Do not give sensitive information over the phone
  • University Credit Union will NEVER call or email you asking for account information

Talk to a representative at any of our local branches or call us at 801-481-8800 to learn more about how we can help you protect yourself against fraud and identity theft.
